Taxiway Centre Line Lights

The lights are evenly arranged along the centerline of the taxiway, and the distance between the lights should be at least 30 meters in the straight section.

The light is generally green in color, and its beam is only visible from the taxiway, or from nearby aircraft.

Taxiway Edge Lights

The average passenger may be most familiar with the little blue lights in the airport at night.

It is installed on the edge of both sides of the taxiway or not more than 3 meters away from the edge.

No matter the straight part of the taxiway or the light distance on the curve is less than 60 meters, so that it can clearly show the position of the curve.

Stop Lighting

Stop bar lights are more common on precision approach runways. They span the entire slide and are one-way lights that emit red light in the direction of approaching the runway.

The switch of the light depends on the command of the airport controller. When the pilot sees this light on, he must stop taxiing and wait for the next command from the airport controller.

Middle Position Waiting Light

The lights are located within 30m to 60m from taxiway intersections.

Cross the taxiway with a steady yellow light towards the intermediate holding position.

The number of lamps shall be at least 3, symmetrical to and at right angles to the centerline of the taxiway. The color of the light shall be a fixed one-way yellow light.

Runway Warning Lights

This one is not mounted on the taxiway, and its beam is unidirectional and oriented so that it can be seen by the pilot of the aircraft taxiing to the holding position.

Used to warn pilots and drivers of vehicles on taxiways that they are about to enter an active runway.

The three articles are the lighting system of the airport.

We usually pay more attention to the waiting hall at the airport, and seldom look at the airport outside the window.

Even if you have the opportunity to travel at night, it is often difficult to cast your eyes on the lights of these airports outside the porthole.

In fact, if the airport at night does not have these colorful lights, it will lose a lot of charm.
